Wow, it’s been hectic here since we last updated our semi-regular list of interesting things we found on the web! I’ve been preparing for the trip to SXSW, we’ve updated the FreshBooks integration with Tactile CRM, released Resolve RM (into beta), added some more updates to the sales graphs, and a whole lot more we’ll tell you about in the next few weeks! I feel tired just writing about it. Whilst we’ve been working on all of this, we’ve found a few useful resources on the web you might find interesting. For your viewing/reading pleasure:

Calendar and Address Book Sync

The last couple of days have been about tidying my data. Google released their calendar and address book sync over the weekend and I found a great app to sync FaceBook profile pictures with address book contacts (on the mac).

There are currently some limitations with Google Sync (mainly the number of calendars that you can sync – this is an Apple issue not Google), but it’s a great solution to keep you calendar up to date without having to go back to you computer to sync subscribed calendars. With this I can now keep up to date with my diary and see the events colleagues who use Tactile CRM add for me.

Design Email Newsletters

As part of the updates to the new Tactile CRM website and interface I am in the process of redesigning our newsletters. We use the excellent Campaign Monitor to send them, but they also have some really good resources when it comes to designing them:

Generating Sample Data

Yesterday was the day I spent working out screenshots and media for the new Tactile CRM website. Generating sample contact data (names/addresses/phone numbers) is easy, company names are more difficult as they need to sound right.

I’ve used the Company Name Generator before, but thought it was worthy of a mention as it is the best one that I have found so far (and there is a scientific principle behind it (if you wanted to know!).
