Introducing Quick Search – unified search for Tactile CRM

We really excited to announce the release of a new feature in Tactile CRM called quick search – it does exactly what it says – allows you to quickly search organisations, people, opportunities and activities in one go. You can even search on account number too.

The video below gives a quick overview of what it does, but why not login and try it for yourself.

   Still no way to search by phone number, email address, or website even? No one remembers the account number, so it's useless. Half the time I'm looking up a phone number on Google to match it with a client name on TactileCRM just so I can search it by name and pull it up. This isn't more useful, it's more convinient, because you don't have to click on each tab in order to search it. But it's not more useful. Useful would be if you added the ability to search for a company by something other than it's name and account number!

   Thanks for your feedback, we are still adding to the search so you comments are really useful. Can you explain you workflow/reason for searching on phone numbers please. The reason I ask is lots of people work the other way (ie search by org/person to find a phone number) and I'm interested to understand tour requirements so we can make search even better.

   Hi Jake, Thanks for your response. We get many calls each day, and we like to look up the numbers to see who called and add a note to that account on Tactile. Also, some of the time, we may not remember the company name (because we deal with many) but might know another piece of info such as the phone number, email address or other. We've also had instances where a customer calls and we can't find his company by name because it wasn't typed exactly as he is saying it, so searching by phone number would make that a non issue. Simply put, we think adding a phone number search capability would greatly enhance the ability to search and find companies and people more quickly. We also have several companies that share vary similar names (in few cases identical names) so searching for them by name can be a problem in terms of making sure you're getting the right one, where as searching by phone number would eliminate that problem.
